Zoom has proven itself to be a useful tool throughout the Coronavirus pandemic, but not without concerns around how the software is installed, security, and user privacy. Many criticisms have been addressed by software updates and changes, but that hasn’t stopped some major companies and organizations including Google, NASA, and the New York City schools from banning its use.
Some problems, such as Zoom Bombing, are easily remedied by following best practices when organizing calls, but this may not be enough to make you comfortable using the app – and if that’s the case, we have 5 Zoom alternatives for you to use instead.
